MEET THE MODEL

What is Seedance 2.0 Mini?

Seedance 2.0 Mini is a lightweight video generation model in the ByteDance Seedance family. It turns written scene descriptions into short videos and can generate accompanying audio. Mini is positioned as a lower-cost option for exploring ideas and refining prompts before producing a final piece.

On Wan2.Video, you can try it directly in your browser: describe a subject, an action and a setting, choose a frame shape, then generate a short clip. No editing timeline or account setup is needed. This page focuses on text-to-video creation.

Describe the scene and movement

Use the prompt to direct the subject, surroundings, lighting and camera. A single clear moment gives a short clip a useful focus: a slow product reveal, a character turning toward the camera, or leaves moving in the wind.

Give the scene a sound

Synchronized audio can include dialogue, ambient sound effects and music. Describe the sound you want alongside the visual action, or turn audio off when you plan to add your own soundtrack. Generated speech and timing can vary.

Explore one idea at a time

Keep the subject consistent and change one detail between attempts, such as camera distance or lighting. Comparing a close-up with a wide shot makes it easier to decide which direction suits your project.

What can you make with Seedance 2.0 Mini?

01

Social video ideas

Sketch a short opening moment for a reel or vertical post. Start with one visible action and choose 9:16 for a portrait composition. Treat the result as a clip to review or build into a longer edit.

02

Product and ad concepts

Explore a product setting, a lighting treatment or a camera move before organizing a shoot. Describe the object clearly, and inspect the generated details, lettering and proportions before using a result in a campaign.

03

Story and atmosphere studies

Try an establishing shot, a character entrance or a quiet environmental moment. A four-second clip is useful for evaluating the feeling of one scene; save longer dialogue and multi-scene stories for a broader editing workflow.

How to write a useful video prompt

Build your prompt around one shot. Add concrete visual and sound details instead of a long list of unrelated instructions.

  1. Subject + action + setting

Name the main subject, say what it does, and place it somewhere specific. “A fox walks along a misty forest path” gives the scene a clear starting point.

  2. Camera + light + mood

Choose a camera direction such as a slow push-in or a static close-up. Then add a lighting cue and a mood. Avoid asking for several cuts and competing camera moves in one short clip.

  3. Sound + a short line of dialogue

With audio enabled, mention the sounds you want to hear. Put spoken words in quotation marks and keep them brief enough for four seconds. Review the output to check pronunciation and timing.

An example prompt to start from

A ceramic cup rests on a wooden table beside a rainy window. Steam rises as the camera slowly moves closer. Soft morning light, a calm mood, gentle rain against the glass, no music.

What to expect from a short AI video

A generated clip is an interpretation of your prompt. Character details, object shapes, text and audio timing may differ from what you imagined. Review the result, simplify any unclear instruction, and refine one part of the prompt for your next attempt. Free requests share service capacity and may wait before generation begins; refreshing restores your existing request.
